...This is a community score card report of County projects that were funded by Kitui County Government. The audit took place between 19th June and 9th July 2019 and covered forty-eight (48) projects in nineteen (19) out of the forty (40) wards in Kitui County that were funded in the financial year 2018/19. The actual social auditing was undertaken by trained community social auditors while the role of the Council of Governors was mainly limited to facilitating the process and in partnership with the National Taxpayers Association, capacity building on social accountability and tools and practical training on how to administer social audit questionnaires.The report is divided into four-part namely; The overview of the county development budget in the FY 2018/19; the social audit process as undertaken in Kitui County; The achievement realized through the social audit process and challenges experienced during implementation of the process and; a summary of findings and recommendations from the county projects audited
