...The Health Sector is key in ensuing the citizens remain healthy and productive to contribute to the socio-economic development of the county and the nation. The process of formulating this Strategic Plan has given us the opportunity to learn and build on our past successes and failures. We have identified strategic interventions to respond to emerging diseases and meet the health needs of our growing population. The strategic areas of focus confirm our commitment towards establishing a strong health system. This is through strengthening our core functions of offering effective and efficient prevention, promotion, curative, rehabilitative and palliative services. It is our duty to robustly coordinate and engage stakeholders and the community to enhance the health sector governance. The strategic plan incorporates priorities of the national health sector including the Universal Health Coverage spearheaded by the Presidents Big Four Agenda.
