This current financial year ending this month will go into history books asan eventful and catastrophic year. The world global village which we are part of hasexperienced unprecedented challenges. The ongoing Covid-19 global pandemic hasbrought a lot of global uncertainties and economic shocks to world economies. TheCounty Government in collaboration with our development partners and the NationalGovernment is currently battling this pandemic. Our County is currently experiencinglocust invasion. During this financial year the county experienced massive flooding whichculminated into destruction of livelihoods and infrastructure. Additionally within this sameyear a pending bills clearance directive was issued by the Presidency. All these challengesnot only distorted our plans in this current year but their effects will spill over to the FY2020/21.The County Government has however provisioned funds in this budget forcontinued mitigation of these challenges.
