The strategic plan lays a framework of achieving the outcomes of our Bungoma Integrated

Development Plan (IDEP) which include;

a) Ease of doing business

b) Infrastructure investment

c) Skills investment

d) Security and safety

e) Excellence in service delivery

These programmes contain many projects and initiatives as provided in the IDEP which we look

forward to implementing over the next five years.

We understand the limits of our government and assert that while government can create an

enabling and well-functioning environment it is ultimately up to the people including investors,

innovators, skilled-craftsmen, laborers, caregivers, law enforcers, teachers and instructors to

provide the products, services, works and skills for the economy to grow and provide jobs.

This plan sets out better practices in providing municipal services to all residents, visitors and

investors. It focuses on development in the broader sense and is well structured to inform budget

priorities, decision making and allocation of resources.

Our ability to serve the public in Bungoma municipality has been clearly described and an exciting

future lies ahead if we all work together to make this the incredible Municipality that our children

should inherit from us.
