It is against this momentum that C-FSP focuses to accelerate economic growth by riding on the macroeconomic stability; focusing on fiscal discipline and structural reforms; and deepening investment in critical economic & social infrastructure aimed at promoting productivity and facilitating expansion of the private sector. The broad strategic policies planned for the fiscal year 2015/16 and in the medium term will achieve resilience necessary for employment creation and poverty reduction. In the current financial year 2014/15 the county has made progress in infrastructure with tarmacking of Wajir town roads is ongoing, graveling of major county roads has been done as well as installation of solar street lights in major towns. Water sector has made a big stride in ensuring water for domestic and livestock use is brought closer to the people through drilling of boreholes and water pans.Agriculture and livestock sector has embarked on value addition of the products, adoption of modern farming technologies as well as irrigation farming.
